How can I Build Quizzes in Moodle?

The Quiz activity allows instructors to design and build quizzes consisting of a large variety of question types, including multiple choice, matching, true/false, short answer, essay, numeric, and drag & drop. Many question types can be graded automatically by the Moodle system, generating a grade immediately for students to see.
Quiz settings allow instructors to set a range of availability (dates/times) and a set length of time for students to take the quiz. The Quiz module also offers the option to set User Overrides to provided accommodations of extra time for students who need it.
Questions and quizzes can be added to Moodle in multiple ways:
- Respondus 4.0 Quiz Builder can be used to upload questions and quizzes into Moodle.
- Publishers such as McGraw-Hill, Pearson, Cengage, WWNorton, etc., often offer publisher question banks that can be uploaded into Moodle. Check with your book rep.
- Uploading a file formatted with the Aiken format.
