You can easily add a link to an external website in your Moodle course using the URL activity in the "Add an activity or resource" list.

To add a web link to your Moodle course:

1. Turn editing on.
2. On the main course content page, click on of the Add an activity or resource links in the lower left corner of each section of the course page.
3. Select the URL option (click the All tab if necessary to locate the URL option).
4. Add a Name.
5. Paste the web link into the External URL textbox (or click the Choose a link button to search for a link in a database such as Films on Demand or Merlot).
6. Set other settings as you prefer for the link.
7. Click Save and return to course. The link will appear on your course page.
