Make sure the assignment is set to generate similarity reports. If this setting is not enabled, no submissions made to the assignment will receive a report.

Possible reasons for a prolonged "Pending" status:

• If the assignment has been set to generate reports on the due date, Similarity Reports will only be available once the assignment due date and time have passed. 
• If the student has submitted a file type that cannot be reviewed, a similarity report will not be generated. In the settings, if "Any" file type is allowed, student may submit files that cannot be reviewed such as these file types:
  • Password-protected files 
  • Microsoft® Works (.wps) files 
  • Microsoft Word 2007 macros-enabled 
  • .docm files 
  • OpenOffice Text (.odt) files created and downloaded from Google Docs 
  • online Document (.doc) files created using OpenOffice 
  • Spreadsheets created outside of Microsoft Excel (i.e. .ods) 
  • Apple Pages Text with visual effects
• At high volume times of year - especially near the end of the semester - it may take a bit longer for submissions to process.
